If you are planning to buy a freestanding oven and you already decided on the oven that will fit your kitchen, then you next move will be to measure Your freestanding oven. If you are ready to buy a double oven freestanding range, freestanding electric ovens, freestanding gas ovens, Then you are ready for your next step in the process.
So, I get this question a lot “How to measure a freestanding oven.” Well the first thing before you do anything, is to get out a good decent size measuring tape. Usually you can get these at Home Depot, Walmart, or any nearby hardware store. Basically any store will have them, just make sure you get one that has at least 100 inches, I made the mistake before by buying one to short and it’s a pain in the butt to go back and get another one, so just be sure you have enough measuring tape. That way you can measure anything besides the freestanding gas oven, freestanding oven range, freestanding double ovens, or whichever one you have.
The most obvious thing about freestanding ovens, is that most are around 50 to 60 cm wide and about 60 cm deep. But in apartments, they can come in smaller sizes. To make it easier for yourself, measure the exact area that you want the cooker to be. Be exact, and always double check. Measure by the inch and go down to the exact quarter or centimeters. If you mess up on this part, things will go bad and you’ll have something that will not fit and you don’t want to knock down your whole kitchen, just to replace your cooker.
If you not sure how to use a measuring tape right, try having a friend help you so you know for sure you get the exact length and width. It doesn’t hurt to ask for a helping hand, especially when you spending a hefty price on a brand new cooker for your home.
Once that’s finished, you final step on completed your cooker, is to get it installed in your kitchen. I will go over that in my next article for you.. So begin measuring the area, so you know exactly what your working with. Good luck!
